Not Another Diet

No diets or meal plans; focus on understanding emotional eating and self-worth.

Weekly Deep Work

A new lesson drops every Monday so you have time to reflect, practice and let things genuinely sink in throughout the week.

Real Experience & Real Change

Built from lived experience, eating psychology, nervous system work, meditation, and years of personal and professional learning.

Who is this for and What is it?

This programme is for you if — You've tried every diet and nothing has lasted.  You know how to eat well, but something keeps getting in the way.  You eat when you're stressed, lonely, bored, or overwhelmed and then feel ashamed afterwards. You're exhausted by the constant battle with food and your body. You've spent years thinking the problem is you. It isn't.   What is it? It Was Never About the Food is a six week self-study programme built on eating psychology, nervous system science, and lived experience. It will not give you a meal plan. It will not tell you what to eat. It will not add to the pile of things you feel like you're failing at. What it will do is help you understand yourself, maybe for the first time. Where your relationship with food really began. What it's been doing for you. And what genuinely changes when you finally see that clearly. This is not a diet with a different name. This is something completely different.

What you will learn

Understand your emotional eating patterns

Learn why food became comfort, relief, control, safety, or escape and why your eating behaviours make more sense than you think.

Regulate your nervous system around food

Understand stress, food noise, emotional triggers, and how your nervous system affects digestion, cravings, and eating behaviours.

Build a calmer relationship with food and yourself

Move away from punishment, restriction, and shame and towards rhythm, nourishment, self-trust, and sustainable change.

The 6 Week Journey

Six weekly lessons — delivered from 15th June, one per week. Week 1 — Your Story Isn't What You Think It Is Where your relationship with food really began. The diet cycle and why it was never your fault. The shift from shame to curiosity. Week 2 — Your Body Was Never the Enemy Your nervous system. The stress response. Why your body was always trying to protect you and what the war with your body has cost you. Week 3 — The Pattern Has a Name The six emotional eating patterns. Your specific triggers and loops. Recognition without judgement. Week 4 — What the Food Was Protecting The need underneath the behaviour. What food has really been doing for you. And the grief that can come with finally seeing it clearly. Week 5 — A New Way of Being With Food Practical tools. Rhythm instead of rules. The science of why how you eat matters. Building trust with yourself — slowly, imperfectly, kindly.   Week 6 — Who You Are Without the War Identity, integration, and the inner critic. What sustainable change actually looks like. Who you are becoming. WHAT YOU ALSO GET A Food Story Exercise before you begin — a guided writing exercise to complete before Week 1. Private. Just for you. You never send this to anyone. Six weekly worksheets — one per week to go deeper alongside each lesson.

Hi I’m Natalie.

I’ve lived this my whole life. The food noise. The emotional eating. The secret eating. The shame. The dieting cycle. The feeling of being completely consumed by food and body thoughts while still functioning on the outside. I lost my dad at five years old and grew up around stress, dieting, emotional overwhelm, and complicated relationships with food. By twelve, I had constant stomach pain, anxiety I didn’t yet have language for, and a relationship with food that already felt loaded with comfort, relief, and shame. For years, I believed my problem was simple: eat less, control yourself more, finally get it together. But the deeper work changed everything. I later trained in eating psychology through the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, qualified as a meditation teacher through the British School of Meditation, and studied nervous system regulation and Polyvagal-informed work. But more than any qualification — I understand this work because I’ve lived it. I created this programme to help people finally understand what’s underneath the eating, the food noise, and the war with themselves without shame, punishment, or another cycle of starting over.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is this a diet?  No. There are no meal plans, calorie targets, food rules, or “good” and “bad” foods. This programme focuses on understanding your relationship with food and rebuilding trust with yourself.  Will I lose weight?  Some people may naturally lose weight as their relationship with food changes and emotional eating reduces. But this programme is not built around restriction or weight loss. The focus is long-term change, self-understanding, and food freedom.  I’m already on a weight loss journey can this still help me? Yes. This programme is not anti-weight loss and it’s not another meal plan or diet. It’s the deeper work underneath it helping you understand emotional eating, food noise, shame, nervous system patterns, and the cycles that often keep people stuck long term. You can absolutely do this alongside a weight loss journey. What if I binge eat or emotionally eat?  This programme was created for people struggling with emotional eating, food noise, binge-restrict cycles, shame, and feeling out of control around food.   Is this therapy?   No. This is an educational eating psychology programme informed by lived experience, nervous system work, meditation, and eating psychology training. It is not a replacement for medical or psychological treatment. If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional or have a diagnosed eating disorder, please consult your healthcare provider before enrolling.   How is the programme delivered? A new lesson unlocks every Monday over six weeks so you have time to reflect, practice, and absorb the work gradually.  How long will I have access?  You’ll receive lifetime access to the programme.  Do I need to be “ready” to change?  No perfection is required here. You do not need to arrive motivated, disciplined, or fully healed. You just need a willingness to start understanding yourself differently. What if I’m busy one of the weeks? That’s completely okay. The programme is self-paced and you’ll have lifetime access, so you can catch up in your own time. The lessons are designed to support real life. Is the programme refundable? Because this is a digital programme with immediate access to course materials, all purchases are non-refundable. Please read the course information carefully before joining and make sure it feels right for you. One to one personal support from Natalie is not included within this programme. If you would like direct personal support, details of one to one coaching are available inside the course. By enrolling and purchasing this programme you confirm that you have read and understood the above and it is non-refundable.
